HTML5 is going to kill Flash in the long run. I wouldn't invest time and money into Flash now.

I think that browser flash games are already killed by smartphones.

Micropayments. If game is addictive enough.

Or ads surrounding the game.

I don't think so, most people just download game Apps, focus on building something good for people like addicting game or something else.

How long? Another 5 years?

Anno 2015 HTML5 games are still a joke compared to Flash games.

HTML5 will kill Flash as stated above but! you still have plenty of time to make money out of it.
