Does feed burner help your site

I've used feed burner for over a year but i have seen in a few places and people have said that it actually slows down the indexing of you blog is this true or is feed burner just not worth using or the other way should it be used.

It dose help, PM me if you need help... I have a few guys that i get to do Google Reader subscriptions with the feedburner account and views to give social signals... After google+ its all about social signals along with linkbuilding!
