so, facebook likes don't help at all?
Maybe i read wrong but likes will help in serp, less then shares but...will do.
Can you post where you found this info?
Facebook shares and posts will do good on SEO. But there is a difference in SEO effect if a page has very few linkes shared a post and a bigger page share a post. I haven't read anywhere about it but i saw it practically. Even you can, take a website and put that in opensiteexplorer on inbound links you search for facebook link on that first facebook share comes from pages which have huge likes compared with other FB links. Also a post with huge linkes and comments has higher value than others.
From experience I must say that Facebook SHARES and retweets from Twitter will do wonders for your website. I think likes are slightly less valuable than shares but still have some influence. Try reading this: http://moz.com/blog/facebook-twitters-influence-google-search-rankings
I've noticed that some of my fb fan page posts are do-follow so if you get a lot of shares then your creating backlinks. G+ helps rankings and indexing. So if you're creating new content always post to twitter and facebook. Then some how get lots of G+
No. If you are active on social media, like Facebook, it will not have any impact on you SERP. You will just have increased Referral Traffic. Check your Google Analytics account.
FB likes definitely help, but not a lot. Google hasn't made an official announcement as to how FB helps but in Penguin 2.0 Social Media is a bigger factor.
