Hello all,

Sorry about this being my first post and not a thread in the introduction section. I do intend to be active and contribute/post if that helps.

Im wondering if anyone has any experience with facebook advertising and if it actually works for niche targetting people with the conversion rate compared to cost etc.

Im wanting to advertise a job vacancy and was wondering if anyone has any specific information related to this.

It works, but i don't think you will get your moneys worth as many people have reported getting ''fake'' clicks on their ads.
However if you wish to test it for yourself then you have the option of doing it the ''cheap'' way. Go to fiverr.com and purchase a coupon, then your good to go! (this will only work once on your account though)
 
Facebook ads do work, but if you run a campaign with their default settings (Auto pricing) your money will go faster than you can say WTF. Be picky and choose Gender/Age/Interests appropriate to your niche. Then "slumdog bid" lower than Facebook is recommending your CPC bids e.g. if Facebook say $0.59-0.89 .. bid something like $0.25-40 .. your money will last a lot longer, this method is slow and steady but you will get your moneys worth.
 
From my experience, it didn't work, 80% of the clicks were fake bots.
 
I've got an offline business, and Facebook ads have certainly helped me to reach a lot more customers
 
front end dun work but backend usually will work if you know what you are doing.
 
In my opinion you must learn very well how to target the right people, otherwise you will waste time and money very quickly.
 
In my opinion it works for Facebook, not for you or me. I've tried to use Facebook ads for my FB App and FB page. I set up a budget and implemented a little counter into my app. In fact I got about 1/4 less visits than Facebook showed in its stats.
The stats for Facebook page were even worse - less about 1/3.

i've heard some rumors that facebook uses bots to open the advertising and stuff but i think it really lets people know either way..
