Does Exact Domain Match with prefixing number helps ?

Guys ,

What if we buy a domain which is a EDM but prefix with number 1 . Does that help ?

If I understand you correctly, you want to know if buying an EMD with a number at the beginning will help your SEO efforts? The only reasons this would help is if people used the number in that exact match query. Otherwise, it really makes no difference if there is a number in your domain or not and in fact can make it more difficult for people to remember your URL. The other reason I can see this being beneficial is if your company name has a number in it and instead of spelling out the number "one" for example, having the actual number in your URL would be easier for people to use.

Like Shawn said, it worths if only the keyword is searched in google as "query number" or "number query".
.in or co.in can also rank better if you are targeting indian market.

exact match domain only contains the keyword otherwise it's not "exact".
having a prefix or a suffix then you will have a keyword rich domain, which is still have some value but lower than EMD

I would try and get a phrase match domain for examples keywordguide.com or something like that you can brand.

Don't worry about the domain extension either, I see no difference in difficulty ranking a .co / .pro etc than a .com
