My stats today haven't really updated yet. It shows my clicks but no earnings. That's kinda impossible because I've been always earning money everyday.

Anyone have any problems with EPN recently?

See......

Hello All,

We expect transaction data from yesterday 3/22 to post a little later than usual today at around 6PM PST as servers took a little bit longer to process the data than usual. Thank you for your patience.

Best regards,

eBay Partner Network Team

maybe some kind of charge back. Perhaps someone returned an item.. would have been a big ticket item with $200 in fees. :(

Sunday the 22nd was my second biggest revenue day of the month on EPN. I didn't notice any reporting delays but i have things going on and may have simply missed it.

Does EPN shave? YES. That is is all caps for a reason.

I have tons of data that proves they do it, and they do it on a regular basis to some very large sums.

Every transaction has 3 lines to it (if you download the all events transaction report), and you will find many BIN and winning auctions that qualify not having 3 lines (which means you get paid) and just sitting there. EPN has no intention of paying for those. In the past two weeks I have seen thousands in lost revenue, and when I checked out the auctions themselves they were from a BIN. There is no other reason NOT to pay for the auction, as it shows the seller and buyer in good standing as well.

This is also in addition to them just not showing transactions at ALL. Only reason I stay with EPN is just the sheer volume I can overcome their shaving.

Few people will spend time going through all the detailed lines and matching up the three lines to every transaction. EPN knows this...

i had suspicions of that myself. i always look through my transactions to see exactly what people are buying. a lot of lingere lately.

no, they don't shave....they suspend

they shave for sure dude. their game thier rules...

I don't think they shave as such - but if you are sending traffic there from forum stuffing or even a white hat site, there is a decent chance that some of your traffic will hit stuffed auctions before they buy anything. That cookie will replace the one you left. The last person to stuff wins. If egay then bans the EPN account that is stuffing the auction they get to keep the commission that you would otherwise have made.

I have had money both taken away and added after the month has ended. This is because some of the transactions may have not yet finalized and epn adjusts the earnings according to any reversals.

That's a good point and I read elsewhere that they turn a blind eye to the likes of Auctiva doing it via their hit counter, etc.

I understand also that if a seller uses one of the third party auction services like Vendio that hosts the sellers images when a buyer clicks on the images your cookie will be replaced by the third party's cookie. Hard to get a buyer all the way to the end of the buying process while your cookie has to go through a gauntlet like that. I am not sure about ebay shaving but many things can knock your cookie off.

wonder if ebay owns a share of auctiva. it pisses me off that they get away with that. the whole purpose of an affiliate program is to bring buyers or new buyers. i don't see how auctiva does that.........

They shave to the tune of at least 30%. Numbers prove it.

It's not just a matter of the last cookie wins. Sure that works for those transactions that never show up in reports, but there are many transactions that aren't paid for by EPN at all and show up in the reports. You see the 1 line and the other two don't show and you never get paid for them.

You just have to take these things into account and ramp up things to cover their shaving. It's still theft on their part, and not legal, but hey who is going to sue ebay?

I created a program that assist power buyers on eBay and has been approved by eBay dev team. Actually it's geared for power buyers to be able to buy more BUY IT NOW items. Have just a handful of users first few months where total sales from just a few people are 1.5-2Million a month using Buy It Now items only.

Would EPN work for this type of "traffic" driver. ...where it's repeat buyers but most of the items they wouldn't have otherwise purchased where our tool helps them to see if faster and streamline the decision making and checkout process?

Any guestimate (if this type of model works for EPN) that if we drove 5 buyer ID's on eBay to purchase 1 million/month in electronic items on eBay, what that would equate to? (a rough guesstimate does the trick for now ;)

Thanks so much in advance! I've got a great tool ...not just trying to figure out how to monetize on it !
