i hv been hearing that EDU and ORG back links are more valuable?
is that right?
does it make any difference?

You mean edu and GOV.
Bit more valuable, but not big difference per se. Other factors really matter

ya friend it matters because Google thinks this site are goverment site
so it little bit valuable to you to increase your traffic

They are not magic bullets by any means

They are valuable in the fact that they give greater variety to your overall backlink profile, which all of the search engines really like.

Probably, .Gov and .Edu sites are authorized and google always respects authorized sites. . And yeah ofcourse it gives some importance to those sites, and Quality of those websites also really matter. .

I hope you are about to ask .gov and .edu (not .org)
