Apologies for the rookie question, but I was browsing through ebay incognito and realized it never actually brought up WAN ips.

I am using an xfinity gateway and I can easily change my IPv6 address, but its more difficult for the WAN. Do I need to change both to prevent ebay from linking my accounts?

What is the difference between IPv6 and WAN? Is not it the same stuff?
I'm not as tech-savy as I should be, but as I understand it the WAN is essentially your router's IP address. If, say, you were editing a wiki article without logging into an account, your edits would be shown as being made by your WAN even if you change your IPv6 between edits. It's supposed to cover all devices used by the router, where as the IPv6 is for specific machines.

It warrants more research and I wish I could provide more insight, and it would be very useful to a lot of individuals if it was clear which IP ebay uses for linking accounts.

The short answer is eBay generally don't ban based on WAN alone but Amazon does.
