Does EBay permanently ban your IP?

I'm dropshipping from Amazon to my one and only legitimate EBay account which I have fully verified with all my personal information. I'm worried that if and when I eventually get banned for dropshipping, that they will permanently ban all IPs that I have been accessing my EBay account with. This includes my work place, which could get me into trouble.

So my question is if your EBay account gets banned, do all your associated IPs get banned as well? If so, is it permanent and can you ask EBay to just remove the IP ban (not the account ban)?

nope. ebay does not IP Ban(from my own experience) but rather than the account is the only thing that they will ban including the paypal account

if you try to start new accounts with same IP's that you have been logging into after being banned the new accounts will in likelyhood get banned. They don't ban specific IPs forever; ISPs recycle IPs so that would cause too many problems. What they will do is to ban a range of IPs from specific providers if there is a problem

DO NOT use the same IPs on new accounts because that's the easiest way for eBay to catch stealth accounts. Just get new IPs. It's not that difficult.

My concern is that other people at my work place won't be able to use EBay to just do regular stuff like buying items if I get banned, because I have logged into EBay many times from work without vpn or proxy.

This may happen if you get banned; it's up to the eBay bots to link and ban people log in from same IP. It may result in nothing to everyone at that IP getting banned.

You won't get banned for just simply dropshipping as it's allowed, there has to be other reasons like for example you are cancelling orders and selecting "out of stock" and get too many defects, or selling counterfeit items etc.

You can use another IP by using proxies.
It is an efficient and easier way to use Ebay with previous banned IP.

i know they will ban ur azz if they see a overused vpn or vps or even proxy and ur using it from so many people that used it before you that got banned in the past

i cant image ebay or paypal keeping up with all the ip's that are logged. i bet with all the ip's they get just on a daily bases is 30+ million. they probably mainly target vps, vps, and proxies. any other ip from a provider is probably off there logs between 6 months to 12 months.

It's known that ebay has logs of every single login since 1995. Data storage is hella cheap.

Like Tom said, eBay does keep and track all your info. Also remember cookies and email images are a huge factor in tracking you as well. To be safe turn cookies and images off and start using a good paid vpn service, it will help you avoid headaches in the future and let you easily start a new account when/if needed.

Ip should be the last concern ip's are by far the very hardest to get banned bye simply from too many to count being used everyday. Ebay or Paypal has to catch you red handed first doing something else then once they have found you and you happen to have been using that exact ip that was used in the past on more banned accounts than hairs on your head then they will limit you or ban you. im speaking from my own stealth account i used using a vpn off of hma it took over a year for ebay to find me and it was because i got a mc999 first then they saw that overused vpn.

In my experience IP's are the most difficult for eBay or PayPal to ban you solely based on your IP.

It's debatable that eBay and PayPal have recorded every IP log since they were founded if that's true they would have over Billions of IP's stored and their is no way that they can keep track of everyone's activity being able to monitor everyone's IP on a daily basis.

The IP's that are most vulnerable to get banned by eBay or limited by PayPal are VPN's, VPS's, or Proxies that have been recycled and used countless times on past banned accounts.

In essence it takes a human to view your account to actually ban you based on your IP. Even then you may not even be banned because eBay and PayPal cannot police everyone's IP logs to a degree. They probably see millions of crossed IP's daily and banning everyone that has used the same IP would cause way to many problems.

They can't ban anyone solely on IP because then they would ban too many innocent accounts. If you keep logging in from a banned IP or from a foreign country from where you're supposed to be, that will lead you to a ban. Other than that, logging in from a previous IP you used will not damn you. What eBay bots look for is a pattern, such as if you log in from a banned IP and selling the same stuff that the banned IP was selling.

How does one know if their IP was banned? If I'm still able to log in to my account and buy things but just not sell, does that mean my ip is still ok? How do you know when your IP is banned, because it's not like ebay tells you that.

If you have an eBay or paypal account that's been restricted in any way, you can not use the IP that you've been using on the restricted account on new accounts.
