Does domain name effect niche rankings?

I am looking at buying an auction domain, it has awesome metrics, great history, and a poor name.

I'm looking at making a multi niche review site, but the domain name is something similar to "bookreaderclub.com"

Will this make it harder to rank, or not really matter as long as articles are good with supporting content.

Like could i rank for "best lawnmower 2018(not real but same idea)", "best gaming PC" etc.. with this domain or is that gonna be tough.

Hype it with the long-tail keywords, that would help a lot. It's more of optimization, not the domain name.

The domain won't really make much of a difference, but the context of the backlinks will.

Personally, I would stick with the 'books' niche with that particular domain, and try to find something more relevant for the 'lawnmowers' niche.

Most likely it won't have an affect on your SEO. However, it will have an affect on your branding. It would be weird to visit a website called "bestwomenshoes.com" but when you open it you see it's a clothing store for men and women, and not just shoes.

I think you should try to find a better domain with less power and invest more in your SEO if you're trying to make a legit site.

Well I believe if your domain name "bookreaderclub.com", then you should add some posts regarding this keyword as well so as to make your website look legit. Anyways, there's no problem in your domain name. Just make sure to build relevant backlinks.

Yes, definitely domain name is effective for niche ranking and boost selling. Suppose you have a site of niche products beauty & cosmetic but your domain name is food related. So just think about you can't gain your targeted traffic for just domain reason.

The domain name usually shows the content that is posted on the website. It will be strange if it's name is about books and you will post crypto currency info on it for example. But anyway the rates are based on the content and links you use there.

In my point of view, Book is a common word and any type of niche can exist in books. So it can be good I think. BTW domain name has not so much effect these days.
