Firstly who gave you the valuation?
Godaddy
Secondly yes this still works in 2019, but buyers are wiser than they were 10 years back when people just offered a PR6 domain for sale.
I have this domain that is valuated to worth $1.3k, although I have watch a couple videos 9n how to go about flipping domains, I thought I could learn one or two things from domain flipping experts here

in alot of cases e domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I had a few domains that were "valued" at between £1-3k
after months of listing them sold them for 10% of that. (which was still a nice payday for something i paid £10 for)
Which parking page do you use? If you do, do you include a BIN price? Do you try reaching out to people? If you do, is it via email or social media?most good .com (what ever your definition for a good .com) is still worth buying. Unfortunately this kind a model is saturated by now. But I think if you spend some time creating a domain parking page that resonates to your brandable domain name I think that will raise the value or at least justify the appraised value for a particular domain name.
Mastermind - com was just flipped for $325K profit. https://www.dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2019/20191225.htm
This example doesn't help a lot, buying an already purchased domain so you can re-sell still requires a hefty chunk of initial investment. It's almost impossible to find anything anywhere near "mastermind dot com" today for less than a few ks.
I am fortunate enough to bring in $xx,xxx monthly with about one flip per month (in the mastermind - com arena).
Chances of getting these today and flipping them for good cash are small to nil. Please don't give hopes to newbies only to get their dreams crushed.
