So I created a link on a high authority website and linked it to my site. Obviously, the website has blocked web crawlers from accessing that page and sub-directory using robot . txt.

I created links to that page to force index it. I started seeing the page the next day when I use the site:domain.com/sub-directory/page but I get an error when I try cache:domain.com/sub-directory/page

I also noticed that my ranking for that keyword jumped :) don't know if it was the link or something.

Today that keyword is on page one (#7) when I search :D

Though i read an article on Moz which said that link juice can't flow if a page is blocked with robot.txt.

What do you think of this ?

Am still waiting to see what happens next.

i think it will give positive score (pagerank) if crawler previously index the pages you mention as no there isnt any "nofollow" tag exist..the problem is if crawler is blocked to accesing the pages in first place ,how they going to give pagerank

Obviously you haven't blocked Google just others...

Error cache is normal for new pages. Also, Google is moving to mobile first index and this is the consequence imo.
