I got 2 blogs that were created some time ago.

The first blog was filled with unique articles I wrote by my own.
The second blog was a review page and I submitted that url to many directory websites (by manual submission to automatic submission).
Guess what? After the recent Google pagerank, both had PR1.

Then I recently acquired 2 domains. Both were just a month old.
On the first domain, I did many backlinking techniques like linkwheeling, angela's backlinking, blog commenting, .etc.

The second domain, I didn't do much backlinking - no linkwheeling and no backlinking - but I did blog commenting. And I did promote it in Yahoo Answers! and applied for some social bookmarking service from the Services for sale section of this forum.

After Google's pagerank update: The first domain got a PR of 2; the second domain got a 0.

I'm confused

The highest page rank juice comes from unique articles on your blogs and article directories, any article should be posted only once on the internet.

Social bookmarking, blog commenting etc. should be done regularly with few links per day.

Firstly, yahoo answers does not help with SEO so I am not surprised with your result. I would be very surprised if social bookmarking helps in the long run. Legitimate directory submissions would help, as well as article submissions if you're that way inclined.

that is a proof that the natural hard work payoff better.
yahoo answer have nofollow tag to alllinks, if yahoo had pr you maybe will have pr2 also for the second domain. and also some bookmarking site have nofollow too.

That's great!

Thanks guys!
