Does Description change Ruin Seo

I have a site ranks 4th on google but i want to push it up to #1 if i add a key word rather than take it away will that still ruin my seo placement on google?


Example: My description says "Get Taco cards " if i change it to Get Free Taco Cards with it ruin everything or will i be ok and push my site up in the "Free Taco Cards" Keywords.

i don't think that will add any negative effect on SEO. In fact, yes it's probably possible that Your website will boost up for kw "free taco card"

Just, don't change your on-page link structure!

I had recently changed a few words on my description, cleaning it up a bit, and the keyword placed in the description went from #7 to #4. So I don't believe it harmed my site any.
 
Why don't you add "Free Taco Cards" as extra? I mean, keep the existed keyword as it is and add the new one with doing minor change in the sentence.
 
I don't think adding one word will hurt you... even if it does just change it back.
 
Rather than replace, I'd recommend you to add another one :)
There is no harm to keep both of them.
 
Your description isnt much or isnt even a ranking factor, it just increases CTR which could result in better ranking.

I think you would be fine to change it, but I would suggest to just add the new KW in it.
 
As with most SEO answers, there's nothing definitive because it is totally up to Google.

In my experience, as long as you're not keyword stuffing in, you should be OK.

It's always ideal to keep the keywords in the same order as you'd like to rank the page for, but this is becoming less and less a factor.

Keep it natural sounding in your description, and you'll be OK.

Also, keep in mind the length of the meta description, for desktop and mobile.

I don't think so, you will be needed to face any problem. Cause google already marked you on their ranking box. They are not only reading your description, they are too smart. So you can do it without any hesitation. :D
 
In my eye, description is important but it's only one of many factors in SEO.
 
you need to use exact keword meta keword description also verify your site to google webmaster yahoo bing alexa and publis on social media site then you can reach #1 at google
