Does CPA Email Subs + PPV work well?

I have thought about that CPA submits should be easy to convert with that kind of traffic but has anybody done it and has it worked recently?

Looking at the top advertisers on BoxOfAds, there aren't any affiliates promoting email submit offers. At least, not ones that back out to co-reg paths like a few years ago. That's not to say a unique angle wouldn't work though.

Instead, I now see many sweepstake/survey-style landing pages with trial offers as the "prize".
