Does copyright exists in Pinterest?))))

Yes, Pinterest has copyright, so just because an image is there doesn’t mean you can freely download and use it however you want.

If you take something from Pinterest, how do you credit the author? There’s no guarantee that the person who posted it is actually the original creator

Just because it’s on Pinterest doesn’t mean I can download it and use it however I want:weep:
Of course, content on Pinterest is protected by copyright. However, Pinterest’s content moderation is not as strict as that of other platforms.

And as an artist, how beneficial is it for me to share my content if it isn’t very well protected?

You don't share your art work just for a monetary value, you promote to get the recognition of the website profile link that goes along with your socials and your name, so you can direct people to your custom drawing services, or merch gallery, whatever. I put my art up on reddit and my own website, and when i see people using it in places, i leave a friendly comment like " website x is where you got this from? thats cool, love your stuff too" I also embed my images with brand name mentions, in stylish ways, like signage.

This is true.
You can't just download an image on the web and use it however you see fit

Yeah, agree — it’s more about getting your name and links out there...

you mean use copyright data on pinterest? it's much safer then use it on your own site and get DMCA

Another approach is to use pinterest strictly for inspiration take notes or create your own version of ideas rather than directly copying images or designs to stay safe legally.

Yeah, using copyrighted stuff on Pinterest might feel safer, but it can still get flagged

Then pinterest is more a digital mood board

A safer way is to treat Pinterest as a mood board capture concepts, colors or layouts then produce original work inspired by them instead of directly replicating anything.

Yes, copyright fully applies on Pinterest; downloading and reusing images without permission can lead to DMCA takedowns, account suspension, or legal action, so always use the platform's built-in sharing tools or source royalty-free content from sites like Unsplash.
