does content length matter ?

Content is king, and of course length matters. If you want to pass any sort of manual Google reviews, or lets say you want to add your site to Google news etc, then you need to have good quality content. Usually this goes together with the length of your content. You don't need all your articles to be 1000+ words, but if 90% of your content is lets say between 300 - 400 words, then you will have an issue.

That is a must is a myth.

I have articles which are 2k, 3k, 5k long and I also have others which are 350 words.

Depends on the type of site, the layout and structure and write for the reader.
i wonder if the longer rank easier or have more advantage that's my main concern

the advantage of longer articles are more related keywords and LSI will be included in the article therefore the reason why most articles rank from different keywords that they never thought that they will rank.

From what I've gathered it depends on what you are ranking for, and the means of obtaining your traffic.
You are probably asking this with intention to build an affiliate site that siphons traffic from google, so in that case the longer and most of all the richer the content is, the better off you'll be.

No content length does not matter. But make sure you have supporting content to the content you are trying to rank.

yes true i'm running an amazon affiliate website that's why i'm asking if the content length really matters

If your 1000 article is going to be full of fluff, then you don't need it. Content needs to be interesting and full of information, but if the only way you can meet an article of that length is to BS your way through it, that is not good either.

Care to reference where you found this please?

I know people who go by Yoast who suggest over 300 words :weep:
yea yoast says 300+ is fine and i think that they know better tbh but idk about google

I would say at least 700 - 1000 words. But more important is the quality of the content and also use headers. In General at least 1 H1 and 3 H2. 1 H3 can also be useful for a conclusion or summary.
