Does comment backlink in hundreds of edu site increase ranking?

Why not give it a try and come back to report the results?
You only learn SEO by learning from your mistakes and finding out what works and what doesn't.
If these were Harvard, Yale etc then they might have good value, but third world Edu links can do more harm than good.
