Does sending cold emails still work? I'm not talking about spamming, but sending targeted emails. I've been watching some YouTube videos on the subject and it seems like a fascinating way to make money.

Just about every method still works. It all depends on the target and the persuasiveness of the email.

Will it covert higher than targeted ads? Probably not. Unless you are really good at it.
One question to ask yourself is: Do you open unsolicited emails?
I don't. They get immediately deleted.

So, that should tell you something about the chances of actually converting via email.
Your best chances are to make them professional and personal. This takes time and effort.
If you put in the time and effort you probably will eventually get some conversion.

Don't trust what others get in their conversions. Trust what you know you can commit to.

Indeed, it does. I've received roughly 40%+ response from bulk mail. Out of which 10% might buy from you.
 
Yes, it still works provided that your email list is not some random list but highly targeted audience.

Say you are in real estate niche and if your email list is not related to real estate, then it will not work. If both matches, then it will work.
 
B2B cold emailing will always work. Target and send the right stuff to the right audience and it will work well.
 
It totally depends on what the content of the email is. The trick to success is not to inundate the recipients with tons of worthless spam.

From my understanding though, sadly blackhat cold emailing campaigns have just got harder and harder over time... (spam inbox issues)

If you can- try to get a VPS- ScrapeBox+Premium Email Plugin + Atomic Email Verifier - Works wonders as well.
 
Yes, cold email still works. Make sure you have good data, good content in your email, solid subject lines, and a good product or service, and you will be fine. Scaling cold email can be challenging and would require an extensive review of your goals.

Many methods still work and do wonders.

Targeted and clean list + good copywriting + good deliverability + good product/service + persuasiveness will get you results.
