Does cloaking ruins FB conversions algorithm?

Hey, i've got 2 questions related to cloaking FB affiliate links and LP's...

1. Can I use facebook's pixel at a cloaked website? or it would cause facebook bot reaching my real website because of the pixel?

2. The cloaking won't ruin the algorithm of counting conversions?

Installing the pixel is recommended to be on your thank you page to keep track on your conversion. And to be safe, just install it on a different domain.

but the LP itself needs to have a pixel too for retargeting.

I would recommend only having it on the thank you page this not your money page. When you put their js on your money page they can see the whole thing. Maybe someone else has experience with this but I think that would be a dead giveaway when the users are going to a different link than what you are telling fb they are going to.

Pixel tracks conversions. If you don't want FB to know about the actual target then no, you shouldn't use a pixel.

It depends on how you do it. The whole idea of cloaking is optimizing conversions so if you're not, then you're doing something wrong.

If you show a fake to users, even if it doesn't break the algorithm, it may reduce the interaction, it may be more logical to only appear on the thank you page.

You will see a great results if you cloaked the pixel also!

The process to cloak your Facebook Pixel is actually really simple.
You first need to make simple HTML page that looks like this:

Where it says PIXEL-ID-REPLACE you replace it with your Facebook Pixel ID, which is usually a string of numbers.

Where it says PIXEL-EVENT-REPLACE you will replace it with the name of the event, for example "Lead".

Upload the file with the code above to your server as something like thank-you.html.
