Does ChatGPT content rank?

Everyone is going on about chatGPT will take over copywriting jobs and journalism but does the content even rank? I saw a tool that can recognize that the article was written by chatGPT. Does Google detect this? Is there a workaround for it being detectable that will actually allow the content to rank on Google?

Yes, content ranks, but it can fall just as fast. I suggest you test, find ai content detector and paste in the text from ChatGPT. If a tool like this is able to tell if the content is written by AI then do you think Google has a problem with it? :)
 
Yes it does rank.
AI content ranks just fine, otherwise nobody would have used it.
If you are just copy pasting whatever the ai spits out without any changes then it can be a problem although people doing this too successfully
 
I can't believe people are still asking these questions.

Does it rank? Sure it does.

However, Google will penalize your website's AI-generated content as fast as it ranked.

It's only a matter of time before Google rolls out a new update.

it rank just fine.
but it's not one prompt copy paste done lol. ai is tool it still need human operator to make sure quality result is good

That tool (and any of the other ones that currently exist) aren’t accurate. They say things are AI that aren’t and say things are real that are AI.
I’ve tested them on articles generated with davinci, ChatGPT, and personally written. Results are widely inaccurate.

only way Google could possibly detect AI without punishing everyone is if OpenAI adds a watermark. Then at that point the rephrasing tools would be used and that removes that as an answer as well.

My .02 cents Google will go heavy into user metrics such as bounces back to SERP and reading other results as well as time spent on the page. That won’t hurt AI arricles though just crappy AI articles that are auto generated.

Oh and if you play around with ChatGPT and davinci’s prompts you can get articles that look much more human than stuff that I’ve actually written!
 
AI will replace crappy writers - that's not in doubt. It won't however replace original thinkers. In other words, if all your writers do is re-write whatever stuff they come across on the web, then you're better off using AI. But if your writers take their time think outside the box and generate information from their research & findings, AI won't replace them.

AI merely regurgitates whatever is already available on the web. And yet Google is heavily fighting against that because it knows that with time, the internet will be full of content that sounds similar...the flow of new ideas will stagnate and there will no longer be an incentive for humans to think/research and share their unique perspectives.

Time to create some crypter's to make AI content unique in google eyes :cool:
 
put some human efforts with AI and make it more worthy and unique.
still as many member suggest that google will catch one day, but you can enjoy till that.

It would be a good idea to edit it a little. I would never use the content as is.

That's right, that's why I use several tools to test each text. Most AI-generated texts have a distinctive pattern, which ends up being bad for people who don't apply rewrites.
 
I have a few KW where I've not created any post on yet, might try this on them
 
I was just doing some testing with chatgpt output and all but one showed 90%+ AI-written. If you generate enough, some will randomly end up scoring well.

Now, I will say I'm using another gpt3 tool which out of the box scores similarly and I have to work the output to get better scores. Chatgpt provides pretty good output, I'm just not sure I could lean on it right now though the text it generates are pretty effective and it is easy enough to automate. Not sure the limits and for what length of time it is free.
