Does buying traffic improve google ranking ?

It can help your website, especially if you're dealing with a legit seller. But if I were you, I would rather do everything naturally, to avoid any risks.

It's probably bot traffic that set the refer as google, unless they are going to be running a Adwords campaign for you I would seriously doubt that system. Op please do you due diligence when buying traffic, there are so many fakes out there designed to take advantage of you because your a newbie.

Of course traffic helps! And if you have your website registered on Google analytics and webmasters tools then google knows exactly how much traffic you are getting from each sources.
So if google sees that people are visiting your website while they search for some terms then of course it helps
But you can't expect to rank on keywords only with this, you have to do complete SEO activities if you want to rank your keywords on google.

No. your SERPs will not improve. They use google url with KWs as referrer and send traffic to you. If you are looking to show someone your analytics that you are getting traffic from google for any KW then it is good. if you are looking to get ranked then rather invest in backlinks.

Yes and no - it depends on how the traffic is channeled to your site. If they are channeled wrongly, then no it will not contribute to your overall SERP ranking. But if done correctly, it will definitely boost up to 1 page per effort.
So if yes, these traffic must be natural in appearance to google - it must have unique IPs and preferably residential IPs, and the computer info, hardware info, all must be different (different unique user agent).
If the seller is lazy, they could be using a software that uses the same IP over and over, and with very bad user agents, and these have already been found out and it no longer contribute to the SERP ranking factor.

This could actually work, but remember, Google knows your website activity. 1000 visitors up to 8 hours seems a bit too rushed in my opinion, especially if your site hasn't been doing very well lately. Sudden traffic coming from a website with no changes? Google will definitely see something's up. I'd suggest go for a more natural way of boosting your rankings.
