does breadcrumbs matters?

hi, im fairly new to seo, and i dont know if breadcrumbs matters on a small websites ranking,

say :
sample 1
domain.com/services/
domain.com/services/car-repair

vs
sample 2
domain.com/service/
domain.com/car-repair


does google gives a better ranking on sample 2 or 1, or it doesn't really matter. thanks!

Sample 1 matches better, but what works for me is the concept to keep the target keyword matching both the url and the content on the specific subpage.

In terms of SEO and ranking breadcrumbs don't give you a lot of boost. They affect how your website appears on SERP when someone is looking for URL, for example, a site with breadcrumbs like ibm.com looks like this on SERP.

Without breadcrumbs, each URL would be listed individually.

Do note that you have to use breadcrumb scheme in your theme as well. without defining that or doing incorrect setup, it will cause errors which have bad results on your SEO in google webmaster.

They mean SILO structure, search BHW, lots of guides.
