I use F.lux for years, no problem at all with my eyes, just usually tired after 8-10 hours of work but I guess is normal.

I needed some new glasses and last week I ordered some with a blue light filter.
They are a little unusual. Everything has a sort of yellowish tint, funny considering they are called blue light filter glasses.
I am not sure whether they have made a difference, they do keep everything a bit dimmer and I do not find myself squinting or with sore eyes as much.

No, one time I got an annoying bug from F.lux (no idea what exactly was) it just activates his features and deactivates it every second. I uninstall it and install it again and we become again best friends.

drs used to recommend cigarettes, lard, and red meat. i wonder if 20 years from now the medics will be saying they were wrong and blue light really is a danger.

That software is the worst... Calibrate your monitor for daylight 6500k and get brightness to 120-140cd/m2 and that is it. No more eyes hurting at night and you dont get tired. I think the cheapest display calibrator is about $100.
I have idisplay1 pro.
I also got blue light blocking glasses but it doesnt help me much once screen ia properly calibrated.
It blocks blue light.. hence why the yellow tint since there is barely if any blue light going through.
