I don't believe in "tiny niche" type of blog. Of course you should focus on a niche, but it doesn't have to be ultra small.
However, don't just write what pops up in your mind.
You know that type of blog people have on the movies? College girls writing about their crush and such?
That's total bullshit.
Find out what people are searching for and go for it.

Threads like these will always have people saying it works, and for those people it works. But remember that there is a large percentage of people who try to build a income online, whether it be blogging, affiliate marketing, dropshipping, etc. who give up and in their minds failed and sometimes think "there's no money to be made".

Yes it works. But it can take a while to start seeing an income. Like someone said earlier, it's a long term investment.
Keep it niched down and not too general. Start out trying to rank for easier keywords in your niche. Keywords words that forums and other lower quality sites are ranking on the first page. Then work up on keywords that are a little more difficult. It will take a lot of content. Make sure you stays on topic for your niche. Eventually it will start ranking and pulling in traffic.

People don't read as much as they watch video content, if you're into blogging/love writing then definitely add a video version of your post within the entry itself, if that's not the case I'd focus my efforts on video marketing instead of blogging, especially if you're starting,
AGAIN it depends on your niche and obviously your expertise, ofc it is way easier to write than it is to produce a video. But the video is way more impactful.
Distribution matters as much as the content creation itself, so be aware of that too,

I'd recommend conducting an in-depth keyword and user intent research. Check what people are interested in your niche. Create a content plan based on your research and write content based sticking to the plan. Don't target high-volume keywords trying to beat the niche leaders from the start, focus on low- and medium-value keywords. Make sure you satisfy user intent in your posts, engage your readers via socials, and build an email list.

A bit of everything but one of the most important thing I learned through my blogging journey is that Blackhat SEO is not dead. So what must of the time SEO gurus are saying is false(IN MY OPINION). No one knows how Google exactly works and NO can give you a certain solution to rank for a certain keyword.
Another advice is trying to avoid evergreen niches, I mean it is harder to rank for a keyword such as "how can I train my dog from home" as the top pages are overwhelmed by big and authoritative websites. While it is much easier to rank for trending keywords that are related to games, movies, apps, tech and blabla.
