Does blocking backlinks affect DA

If Im blocking my backlinks so that my competitors can not see them on Moz and I am only allowing google to crawl them. Does this mean My DA on Moz will not go higher because Moz can not see my backlinks also?

Moz calculates the DA based on the backlinks discovered by them.
Therefore, your DA will not go up consequently.
