I wanted to start a thread to discuss ways of getting your money sites to rank highly in google, and to share my experience.

Over the past 12 weeks I have engaged in an intensive blackhat link building campaign.

My Method:

  • Gradually and steadily, build up backlinks mainly from comment spam
  • Concentrate on high PR ******** links from multiple sources (PR 2,3,4,5,6,7)
  • Use keyword anchor text in all links
  • Link different keywords to different sub-pages
Basically, it's the classic blackhat linkbuilding technique. I have 15 main subpages. Most now have 200 backlinks, the top one has over 1000. Central domain has 300 backlinks.

In week 11 (last week), I started to rank on the first page for most of my competitive keywords and started to make good money.

This lasted for 2 days. Then, down to page 10 for 2 days. Then back to page 1 for 2 days. Then, page 10 again. All pages have been page 10 or below for 3 days now. I am concerned that they will not recover their position, and I don't know what to do.

I would like to compare my experience here with what other people have been finding. What might I have been doing wrong?

Basically what I'm trying to find out is this - does the classic blackhat linkbuilding method still work?

links are links. sometimes your links wont stick, but maybe 80% to 90% of the time they will if your very good about it.

in all honesty though your rankings are going to fluctuate if your in a highly competitive niche. you just need to keep maintaining and updating to keep up.

What I mean is, I built 3000 backlinks (spread over different subpages) total over 3 months on a new site. This is not a natural link building profile. It's spam. Spam is blackhat because it is against google's terms of service. People get bans and penalties for spam links.

Anyone else had a similar experience to me while trying what I'm doing, blackhat or no blackhat?

I should just add that my links have been sticking. They are on unmoderated high PR dofollows.

ohhh i see what you mean now. well google is good at recognizing things that is true. if you do 100% spam link building then you probably will get banned (if not now, eventually).

you'll need to mix in a little bit of legitimate link building as well, and in my opinion it works better that way anyways.

but thats just from my personal experience.

I practice this method for all of my sites and have had no problem. Two of my sites are over 3yrs old and I have been comment spamming the entire time with excellent results!

This is how I do it:

1.) I don't use the same anchor text on every comment.
2.) I don't link to the same page every time.
3.) I use a script that rewrites or spins the comment text.

That's about it! Hope that helps!

Thanks for your help. It's been a few weeks now, my site's still in google hell. I'm trying a variety of new methods with different sites.

Every time I get a question like that,
I go to google and type in "buy viagra"
I used to monitor this serp for month,
Following the footsteps of my Russian Comrades.
If you want blackhat backlinks buy xrumer.
It's still the only software I ever paid for and it's still the best.

Ya, xrumer is really good! I think everybody using it had to pay, it seems impossible to crack!

don't even try to crack xrumer

and I believe that you are thrown to the side for a while with google

keep building links and you will go back up very soon :)

How old is the website/domain that your trying to promote?

my site's 4 months old now. I am trying the juiced up web 2.0 method.

what did you mean by central domain, was that one of the 15?
also, how diverse is your hosting..are they all spread out on diff IPs?

.

The pages are still buried for now. They are all number 1 or 2 on Yahoo and MSN. Fully sandboxed in google.

By the central domain, I mean the home domain e.g. www.site.com, it's all pages on the same domain.
