Does backlinks work on YT ?

I've done few research some says no some says yes so any idea about it?
Does backlinks help to rank youtube videos ?

AFAIK Backlinks help get your Video ranked better in google searches but not in Youtube Search.

Youtube Search looks at your Views and general Youtube Authority (Years Active, Likes, Is it a Viral Video etc.)

since YouTube updates the ranking algorithm every few months, better conduct fresh test to get the best answer for your question.
all i can tell that from my past tests (few years ago) - back-links didn't change much in rankings, i made many tests with GSA .

and on google search, i think they just take the #1 video they have on (google video search) and add it to the google serp and that's usually the #1 video on YouTube for that term.

Yeah, most tests I have seen and indicate that backlinks are a key to ranking a video in Youtube. There are other factors which are more relevant and important.

I just checked few ranking videos on google vs ranking videos on Youtube.
Found out that Google ranking videos has very less backlinks while Youtube ranking videos has more backlinks.

I don't think so , beside if it's some good good backlink idk but from my side it don't
