Just the question above, from my studies it seems no, especially if it's REALLY small. But I'd just like some clarification if possible, thanks.

Google does not ever prefer designing or furnishing part of website in obtaining ranking.

Mmmh... why should the text size matter?

But I've heard: "Backlink font color" could be a problem within Google webmaster guidelines if it's the same as the main website text colour.
