Does automatic backlinks work?

Hi,
I read about a service that generates automatic backlinks. You can see which sites the backlinks are at and so on. Does this type of service work if you remove all links from websites that seems to spammy and keep the ones with good scores?

They kinda work. I have seen dozens and dozens of websites that have links obviously blasted by GSA that rank pretty good and have tens of thousands of traffic. That said this is usually temporary, as they lose the links rapidly when webmaster/forum mods clean the spam, and eventually Google penalize them. You can try this as churn and burn project, but do not get very attached to it, and if got hit - move on.

Its not realistic to remove the spammy links and keep just the good ones, simply because we are talking for thousands of links, and .. well, there are no good ones.

I think you are talking about an other type of links.
I talk about links from services like w w w . automaticbacklinks dot com .

They work especially well when link scheduling is done on a PBN.

What do you mean? That you have your own links on one of your pbn-sites? or that you get the links to one of your pbns?

It would depend on your application and execution. Bare links used to work wonderfully, whereby a simple blast on your bare-links using a ton of those autogenerate links would get something ranked fairly well.
But it seems that the effectiveness has gone down considerably - 1 part that website owners are no longer allowing multiple user signups, and another part is that the software's effectiveness has gone down considerably.
But if it was the good old days, where the software can churn out autolinks to at least 20k unique domains, and 20k are AA links, then this is actually useful to a certain extent to the link building scheme.
