I noticed that some websites do this in spammy niches e.g. Garcinia Cambogia etc. Seen a website ranking on page 1 with 4 PBN links, but spammed to death on the Blog side.

Does anyone else do this? Any success?

If so, do you use SAPE, GSA or any other kind of links?

Try it and fell it. They often use blogspot or free wordpress and spam it . It's call "Churn and burn"

You see 4 PBN links, but the reality is, that the rest is hidden. There could be hundreds. And those domains could have been spammed before they were set as PBN. If they are indexed and aren't penalized, they can be used for this kind of churn and burn projects. Especially of the ROI is there.

While I completely agree with your comment, I would just add that in some niches and for certain keywords, 4 links actually CAN rank you on page 1... On-Site plays a huge role as well so..

That is true of course, but OP mentioned "Garcinia Cambogia" so I presume he was thinking about highly competetive niches.

Judging by the complete trash on some of the SERPs for that kw, I'd say google's rankbrain needs adjustments.

That's what their engineers thought when they started working on the last Penguin I guess.

Yeah. You see all these "dances" and it can only mean they're messing with the new artifidcial intelligence.

For most products and commercial terms, they fall back on Amazon, Expedia, Wikipedia and so on. For the broad search which made them famous, man is there pollution out there...

I haven't even started any new site in months and I am quite reluctant to do so honestly. Not sure if they are testing or they just simply fucked something up.

So to the OP. There are niches where... you absolutely cannot predict what will work and what will not. There are some weird techniques, which work for some unknown reason, but people who can afford to rank for Garcinia Cambogia, no matter how, have large enough budget to test and do whatever they want. At the moment, there is no rulebook.

Trust me, he has wayyy more than 4 pbn links lol.

But you can power up your PBN with some web 2.0s or whatever. It won't hurt.
