Does anyone on BHW speak English?

I'm surprised at the hostility.

Your title was unnecessary and so was a lot of your OP (not hating just giving you a reason). Your title doesn't really suggest you want a writer, make it obvious and writers will click.

Title: Looking for English speaking writer
Body: Willing to pay $1/100 words, PM samples

This is half a HAF thread and half a lounge thread

$5 per article will get you nowhere if you need a high quality article.

Word of advice: pay more!

I absolutely get your position, in fact - I used to think the same way! Why should I pay more if people are offering to work for peanuts? But that calculation dosen't really work, because after months of getting terrible results & having to order 3-4 different articles from useless buffoons, you will understand why others are willing to pay more.

Seriously, just pay a decent rate and you'll get a better conversion rate & superior service (I found PPH to be a good platform for decent quality).

I just spent the past hour browsing The Marketplace. Man, I like a laugh as much as the next guy but when a person isn't able to write sales copy for their own business/hustle it doesn't fill you with confidence!

I need a copywriter who can semi-regularly bang out 500 word articles. Right now, I'm willing to pay $5 for each piece. Brands will change but the topic will largely remain the same. I need someone who can re-write content, really. Very little on the research front is needed, and I'll deal with keywords and optimisation after the fact. All I'm after is someone who'll send me original copy that I can use. I don't want to pay these guys in The Marketplace if I'm going to have to baby them and re-write what they're giving me.

I'm copywriter stock myself and I can appreciate that my figure is on the low side and will offend some of the better writers but a decent writer should be able to get 1 article done in 15-30 minutes so hoping for a few bites. It's child's play, really. One of my side projects has picked up steam though which means I'm distracted/busy/demotivated right now and need some help with my (previously) main website!

For the time being, I need a minimum of 2 pieces (1,000 words) a week. But that figure will increase in the coming weeks so ideally I'd like someone who would be comfortable with 5 (2,500 words) a week.

British-English preferred but not a deal breaker. I'd also like someone who I can build a relationship of sorts with so being on Skype is a bonus.

Hello i know everyone is bashing you for the price you mentioned (quite releveant though :). however, i can help you out and we can work things out. Add me on skype on id great.helper1

I laughed pretty hard at the OP as he made a Fiverr style gig sound fresh and alluring. I loved how it was clearly stated that the writer would just basically re-write articles that were grammatically correct and worded to make the article seem fresh.

I can't write for shit, else I'd have given you a freebie on me. I normally have 3 people look over my sales copy pieces to weed out errors and shit that doesn't make sense to describe.

Well not always price goes with quality , I am working with a writer now and he charges 10 bucks for 500 words ( product review) , I can say that he is better than my previous writer who was charging $5 per 100 words

500 words of British English for $5 ie almost 2.5 quid....this cannot even get me a Egg and Mayo sandwich :D

Keep dreaming!

2 years ago I was into SEO and I had hired writers from India and Pakistan. I had to proofread every article they wrote. Despite them being really happy with just 5 quid per article because of currency conversion, I even paid them more than a fiver!!! Dont expect people to put in effort for few peanuts.

Yeah, you guys are right. Probably worded my opening post a bit shit on top of offering an unrealistically low price. I'll be back in due time with a real budget, fingers crossed.
