Sorry to interrupt.
I had the same question, but for a Demo site given in The7 theme, "Nutritionist". There exists a page, I used inspector, saw it using "Fancy Image" VC element, but even after trying hard cannot replicate.
It has a full-width background image, on which the "Fancy-image" has been used. Any help in this case is appreciated.

This is new to me. How do you do that?
(I had read about stylesheets/backupbuddy/ etc but not about full themes. Can you please explain a bit more? Moreover, will the copied file only have data or VC element info too?
I tried HTTrack, but probably the robots.txt prevented it from going further. Now I think your method will be much better.
