Does anyone here use Twitter?

Twitter is good if you know the do's and dont's of Twitter Marketing. Of Course, you should also exert some effort. I works for me though, I just concentrate to my keywords :)

using twitter for marketing is a numbers game.. if you have 5k followers then it is highly doubtful that your link will get clicked...You need more followers, REAL followers...I have an account with 250k+ followers and my links get clicked roughly 1100 times...the followers are not all on twitter at once when your link goes out.. pm me if you need help..
 
Twittermoney, I can PM since I've not been here enough. I'm interested to know how to build the following up with real people. Seems to be alot of empty profiles just posting Amazon links lately. Is it a good idea to get Tweetadder or another program to automate things better?
 
I read conversion rate for Twitter is around .68% and is probably one of the lowest of the top social networks. However Like stated by other members seems to work wonders for SEO!
 
In all honesty, the conversion rate and traffic rate is low from Twitter.
However what i would recommend is to initially offer sound advice and help your twitter followers/interact with them regularly. Every now and then send out a promotional tweet with a link through to your site, and once you have a loyal following they will be more than happy to click through to your site
 
Like others have said, Twitter for cpa conversions are super, super low. I posted to over 4 million followers (across a bunch of accounts), got over 50k clicks and under 50 leads.
 
I have 10k followers and yes twitter has still been a good marketing source for me. :)
 
Twitter is a good source for marketing as it is good source for traffic too. If you have more than 5k followers everytime you tweet from your account your followers will track your tweet and you will get traffic from that tweet so followers play a vital role in twitter.
 
Yes for past few months I am not get any visitors through it. But before that I used to get it. Can any one tell me why is this happening?
 
Well for me twitter traffic was converting not to good. Was not worth the effort IMHO.
 
I use it to get traffic for the news we post out. Up until the last couple of days twitter was bringing in the most traffic. It's now been overtaken by search engine.
 
I use twitter for website traffic and opt-ins to my email newsletters. I'm doing pretty good with between 30-40 opt-ins recently a day!
 
Twitter is still an excellent traffic source, it however obviously cannot be your only traffic source. If you think of your followers as customers and do not spam them then this method of marketing works. If you spam, your ability to be successful decreases tremendously.
