Does anyone here use Twitter to get traffic, with CPA sites or any other reason?

What are your opinions, is Twitter still marketable or have people learned not to click most links?

if you see traffic coming from t.co url its from twitter. you should be creative on what text you'll tweet to get/caught followers attention and click the link.

It seems to me that twitter visitors are devided into 2 categories: 1) celebrities and thei fans; 2) others who try to do onlinemarketing with the help of twitter.

Twitter traffic usually converts very poorly. In the past I've tweeted and retweeted links to my CPA landing pages across over 100k followers and usually only made 1-3 conversions per tweet. I don't do wait and replies or direct messages, so your mileage might vary.

Twitter for SEO purposes however can be effective. It's extremely useful in getting a site or article indexed. I can post an article which will tweet out the link and then start retweeting it across my accounts. It's almost immediately indexed in Google.

If you are going to push CPA, try to get offers that are not completely saturated, focus your offers to your followers (ie. a make-up offer to women focused accounts) and go for email/zip submits.

I've been using Twitter for a CPA campaign since January this year and have had very little success.

Twitter like twitter is not for selling them something, people is sick of spammers and not stupid. For generating traffic and sending info is good, so if you combine traffic from there and some offline job that needs traffic and you can charge them, you are good.

I've always battled to get good conversions from twitter traffic.... there was a clever yahoo pipes and twitter method some time ago that worked well to drive insane traffic but sadly the conversions rate was shockingly useless.. not to mention that the method no longer works

i've tried and found that conversions are... not so good, you should stick to facebook, youtube, or craigslist or something else twitter isn't the best place, not trying to say it's impossible just saying it may not be for you

I use Twitter only for SEO purposes.

Retweets definitely boost rankings and traffic overnight.

i always hear twitter can be good.. just have to have knowledge of site, bot, and proxies

@rarepva if you are going to use twitter, accept the fact that it #doesntworkwell for CPA

how about sending twitter traffic to a content locked page? Has anyone had success with that?

Not really, i've tried several methods and it doesn't convert for shit and from asking around it's not just me.

Twitter is definitely still marketable. It's not going to provide miraculous amounts of traffic, but it can definitely be part of your traffic driving strategy

I use twitter to drive all my sites up in the SERPS. I have tens of thousands of top 10 rankings....thanks to twitter
