i want to start an LLC at one point. i think that would be so baller. having my own company and running it. not an unofficial company. i'm talking the real deal, a registered LLC

what's it like running an LLC? in the next few months i plan to launch a major project: a white hat dropship store that will have premium suppliers and will eventually grow into a brand/company

What kind of information are you looking for? You can register LLC, get your EIN and bank account in 2 days if you are US resident.
 
There's literally nothing special about having an LLC. File a little paperwork, pay up, and voila. Doesn't make you a legit business person, but it does help protect you, so definitely worth registering. But you won't magically be making money hand over fist when you get one. Still takes hard work and hustling.

Lol, sorry but nothing baller about just having an LLC. I literally go online pay $150 ish and have my registered LLC and then make a new bank acount.
Speak to an accountant if the info online is not good enough for you to do this. Look into Scorp vs. LLC taxes as S Corp etc..
LLC (if its just you) = sole proprietorship + limited liability in case of lawsuit (need to follow rules). However, that means exactly the same taxes as any other side gig = fed, state,local tax, medicaid...

Anyway good luck, as I an others here will unlikely give you any legal advice but some own opinions only

Yep, really easy peasy. During the week when all systems are up, you can often even get the certified copy the same day, go to your local bank and open an account the same day.

This! Many register LLCs, then call themselves Founder/Owner/CEO of the 1 man LLC lol.
Protection is key, but only if you 100% separate business from private, so no mixed bank accounts, private purchases through business assets etc..
 
I prefer my own business under the radar haha
 
Running an LLC is the same as being a freelancer, except you have a business name attached to your personal name. Shouldn't affect your grind or anything else you do.

Only that there very rarely is such a thing. Unless you do all bitcoin etc. and don't put anything in your bank etc. there is more often than not a paper trail. Obviously different in say Germany (but you could do it cheaply there as well), but overall money coming into Paypal/Bank/Payoneer will eventually raise red flags based on the volume of course.

is there anything wrong with running a 1 man LLC?
 
Just get a DBA registered so you can get a TAX ID.

Then you can open up Bank Accounts, Receive Checks and payments with the business name.

Also great for seperating tax expenses from personal and business.

Nope, but neither is there any prestige associated with an LLC. Literally every John doe can get it. My whole point was that , obviously you would be an owner/founder/CEO etc for a single member llc , just some people like to throw around titles.

Inform yourself about the best structure then do that, not because you think it's baller or anything like that.
 
Seems like having an LLC is looked bad upon because anyone can get it, but it seems really useful for people like me who want their own bank account but can't get one because of age. An LLC sounds like an easier way to manage all my business finance and to keep everything in one place, under my name.

Nobody sees LLCs as "bad", it's just another layer of protection, which is borderline mandatory in many industries.

OP's idea that having an LLC is "baller" is like someone bragging about having full coverage on their '86 Chevette.

Eh Delaware is a little different than most states on the tax side of things. It is definitely a pro-business state so if you can have a physical address there great if not it is not the end of the world. There are also a ton of grants for different types of businesses.

You can go to legal zoom and file one, it takes less than 30 minutes. Just remember depending on what state your are in, you will have a yearly tax to pay - in Calif it's 850 a year or 1-2% of sales.
 
bruh a ton of people here have LLC's, myself included.

its not hard to setup. get an LLC for the right reasons and not just for show.
