I have seen sites and this has given me an idea. I know its not a new idea and would like to see if anyone does this.

Contacting local companies and helping them get online and start profiting.
I was thinking of getting the work outsourced e.g. ppc, seo and the rest.

I would go round and contact the companies and get them to sign up and use my services.

I've heard of a book called Make 10k In A Weekend. anyone have this???

the 10k per week is totally doable and a great download....if people take action with it and dont freak out

I did it for my dad's sprinkler business (made a website, seo, no ppc). Got him 2 leads last year, about 20+ this year.

This is how most consulting businesses start. Doing good work and developing great relationships with your clients will bring you a lot of work via word-of-mouth advertising. A lot more than $10k can be made in a weekend if you know what you're doing. If you don't, it can cost you.

The best advice I can give a person looking to break into the industry is to not make promises you can't keep. You can't guarantee your clients placement, so don't. Explain to them why you can't promise them #1 results in a week and why companies who do aren't trustworthy. They'll appreciate the frank discussion.
