Hello,

Does anyone notices traffic drops from Google's last update - Not related to AI overviews ?
I am investigating on Backlinks strategies that might have been impacted.

I am working on some sites but still didn't notice any changes though. What types of niche you are working on matters
 
Yes, I agree that there have been some changes, particularly on pages that mostly rely on older backlink profiles. It appears that Google may be focusing more on link relevancy or quality than quantity. We're interested to see what your inquiry finds; please update us!

Massively dropped down Google's traffic.
A report I have seen that stated 90% of search share has been dropped.

He was asking about personal experience on own sites. Has any of your websites also got affected by this recent update ?

Hi,

0% AI, in a non-affected by AI niche, a SaaS, relying on organic traffic. I am exploring the theory that some specific backlink profiles might have been impacted. The ones that are not completely organic... They have been treaths that they would be sanctioned, and this for years, but nothing has really hapended, untill maybe now.
By the mid-may, one of my collaborators, who has been selling backlinks for a while now, told me he had a manual review, and was sanctioned, then in June, there's this update, and I notice a hit as well, I suspect that they have doing some updates to eliminate from results, the agressive BL campaigns and over-optiomization..but just a theory for now, I am proceding on finding out more, and adapt for the next campaings.
If you have some insights, feel free to share.
 
Yes, I’m seeing two client websites with a drop in traffic.
The reason is thin content created entirely by AI. No value in the content - no traffic from Google. It’s that simple.

we do, our traffic drop like 50% from apr until now
still don't know why, GSC click still maintain
 
Yes, i noticed a drop too-seems like site with weaker or spammy backlinks took a hit. still digging into patterns.
 
Noticed similar drops here too after the June update. Pages with low-quality or less relevant backlinks seem to be hit harder. Looks like Google's focusing more on link quality and overall site relevance again. Curious to see what you find.

Great, thanks for sharing, could you maybe provide links ? My website has absolutely no AI generated content, and still was hit in the June update, I believe we have to dig deeper here, as it might be due to something else, like Backlinks.
Have you made similar campaigns for other websites as well, somethimes we tend to use the same BL sources on multiple campaigns, if yes, did they had an impact ?

Yes, noticed drops in some of my sites.

And on one site, the traffic remains unstable

Yes, I’ve noticed some traffic dips after the recent Google update as well, and I’m also focusing on backlink strategies to understand the impact. From what I’m seeing, it seems like sites with overly optimized anchor text or low-quality backlinks are getting hit harder. I’m planning to audit my backlink profile for relevance and diversity, and maybe disavow some risky links. Would love to hear what you discover too sharing insights can really help us all adapt faster!

He AI update was for bloggers using AI content on their blogs without editing.

Ahrefs is showing decreases, but so far traffic is increasing for my sites, its not over yet so who knows.
