Does anyone have issues finding proxies for Scrapebox?

With Scrapebox, it seems like as soon as it can harvest 30 proxies that work, they quickly die in a a matter of minutes.

Is this the case with anyone else?

If you harvest from the sources of scrapebox then it'll surely happen, get some sources . do a short search and you'll get some fine sources
 
The SB proxies get hammered cos everyones using them.

As others have said, it's worth trying to find your own source, or buy some.

As a start, try proxyfire
 
make sure you are using the new proxy scraper in sbox and then use the ignore google feature if you are not scraping google. you get a lot more then 30 from even the built in sources
 
I had the same trouble in the beginning. But then what I did was found more sources for publix proxies. So now when I scrape public I get 50,000 out of those 50k there are only 15k after removing duplicates. i have one source that provides 10k every scrape.

Now I used to test them all which took forever and I would end up with 200 - 400 proxies. But then I quit testing.

So here is what I do, I scrape the 50k then remove dups. this leaves 15k usually. then after this I just save to proxy list and go. And I found that I could scrape at 500 threads and get plenty of urls.

If you want these lists of proxy sources just pm then you put them into SB and you are gold.

now the drawbacks. just like with all public proxies you have a large failure rate when posting or scanning, or doing anything I found that if I ran it through multiple times I would keep picking up successes. Like if I fast post on 5k then only maybe only get 50 or 150 or something like that. but after removing success and rescanning I get about the same number each pass until no more.

Now I have purchased 25 public proxies from squidproxies. they are amazing. You are not supposed to use them to scrape but to post is awesome! they have amazing success and very fast. If you use them to scrape the net they will get banned I have heard so use public to scrape.

Duh...why didn't I think of that! I just started using SB a couple days ago, *you feel my newbie pain* and it is taking for-eh-vuh-rah to test proxies...thanks for the tip!
 
I used to use scrapebox built in proxies and had the same issues. At $30 a month, having 10 of your own isn't too expensive and work a thousand times better - and you don't have to waste time scraping and testing. Give some private ones a go.
 
I just posted asking for a proxy service, but could anyone clarify for me.
Procedure
Scraping = use public proxies (= time consuming hassle)
Posting = use private proxies
ALSO

i dont know how many posts you guys are making, so does a proxy become useless after say a thousand posts.

You see i was thinking i know how to make a proxy server for myself, dead easy. Plug it in to a isp which offers dynamic ip address on every reboot of the router, and voila i can constantly post with dynamic public ip's and not give 2 hoots about the isp.

But this depends on do i need a new ip address for say every 500 posts or
1000 posts etc

You better go with private proxies, much better success rate.
