Hello forum. Tell me, does anyone store cryptocurrency on the ledger? I would like to hear feedback about this device. I’m wondering if it’s convenient to use it and how to return the cryptocurrency if the device is lost

Get the X model instead of S.

In case of stolen/lost ledger or forgotten PIN, the only way to recover the funds is to reset the device and restore it with the recovery phrase.

Dont buy ledger, buy trezor.

Ledger is shady, had huge data leaks in the past, and few months back created a literal backdoor into their firmware. On top of that it has pretty important staff that is closed source. They basically introduced an update that allows seeds to be backed up on their service, which means there is a way for device to send keys outside and you CAN'T confirm if its really not doing that when you are not subscribed or not.

I’ve used ledger up until their recent recovery service debacle, now I’ve switched to Trezor - where I hold the majority of my portfolio. A smaller % is still sitting on my ledger, which I use for sending in and out of CEX.

as for your recovery question, ledger (or any other wallet) will generate a 12/24 word seed phrase, this is basically the key to recovering/accessing your funds on any wallet.

Thanks. trezor.io official site?

Been using ledger without problems but very sparingly as I barely have any crypto assets or interest in crypto these days.

Ledger is great if you hold Polkadot.
But overall Trezor is better.
