Does anyone have experience creating Reddit accounts using a dedicated IP address from VPN providers?

I've been using VPNs to create Reddit accounts without issues for a while, but lately, new accounts are getting shadowbanned after a few days. Even following the standard warming up guide in this forum (3 posts a day, no link spamming, slowly gaining karma, etc). However, old, established accounts are working fine with anti-detect browsers.

I suspect it is due to Reddit being more restrictive with new accounts created using a VPN than in the past.

I am considering subscribing to a dedicated IP for a month to create 2-3 new "clean" Reddit accounts, gradually warming them up during that month, and then using them with a regular VPN afterward. Has anyone tried this approach?

It's possible that the said VPN IP's reached a point of saturation where most of the subnets are now flagged, thus your issues.

Reddit indeed is making things harder with every update, but regular warming up shouldn't put accounts to risk of being shadowbanned.

EDIT: Thus adding them later on VPN IP's will not solve the issue.
 
I’ve faced similar issues, and Reddit does seem stricter with VPN-created accounts lately. Using a dedicated IP can help since it reduces the chance of triggering flags associated with shared IPs. Just ensure the IP hasn’t been overused and emulate real user behavior, browse naturally, engage with comments, and upvote before posting. Avoid creating multiple accounts too quickly from the same IP, even if it’s dedicated. Gradual warming up with organic activity is key.

IP quality on reddit is now more important than ever, use high quality residential proxies or 4g. I don't recommend using a VPN because those are datacenter IPs
 
It's recommended to use rotating residential proxies for creating accounts in bulk
 
Don't do this please. I've created a few accounts all on different dedicated IP adresses using NordVPN and all of them got banned in the span of a week.

Creating your own 4G proxy is the cheapest option. It will cost you around $20–$30 to run it monthly

Use dedicated Static residential proxies.
 
You need to use a high quality proxy
You got lucky that VPNs worked for you in the past, but Reddit is stricter in 2025, time to improve your account creation setup

I’ve noticed that accounts using VPNs are more easily detected as faking IPs compared to those using proxies. Have you tried logging in on antidetect browser profiles with a proxy to see if you still encounter this issue?

Forget about VPNs, they aren't useful anymore, get a 4G Mobile proxy and improve your setup
 
Yeah, I’ve tested making Reddit accounts using dedicated IPs from VPNs. It used to work fine, but in 2025.. not so much. Reddit's gotten way sharper at sniffing out data center IPs - even the dedicated ones - and they’re stacking that with device fingerprinting now. So even if you’re behaving yourself, fresh accounts still get hit with shadowbans. Your older accounts are hanging in there ’cause they’ve built up trust over time. But new ones? If you're just using a VPN IP, chances are they'll get flagged no matter what. If you’re set on using a dedicated IP, at least run it through an anti-detect browser like GoLogin or Multilogin, and make sure each account has its own clean setup - no overlapping fingerprints. That said, you’ll probably have way better luck using mobile proxies instead. They're a lot trickier for Reddit to catch and usually give you a much smoother ride.
 
Only thing working for me lately is aged accounts + mobile proxies + human behavior 100%
