Does anyone have any experience with a paywall?

I am setting up a site in a niche which I believe to be good enough to charge for the content. I plan to use wordpress and then give readers a snapshot of an article and then charge for subscription.

I am concerned that if I have some of my content blocked by a paywall that google wont find it and therefore it will be more difficult for me to rank high.

Does anyone have any experience with paywalls or any other solution that will work for this idea?
