I've got a situation where I had a coder create a wordpress plugin for me but the proxy checking subroutine is sort of suspect, in my view. I need to pass along what others think is good code to throw an array of 1-x number of proxies to test to see if they're still good at the time of testing for google scraping actions. Willing to even pay to have a the old check routine substituted for one that actually work. But I sort of figured a php routine already exists out in the nether..no? Basically I'd think it'd check for 201, 401, and then report back for good/bad.

    Hi,

It might worth googling "how to check proxy php" term and going straight to stackoverflow and check the replies to it. Saw some API there for this, as well as service that can do this quite cheaply.

Checking proxys with PHP is really simple: Just visit a SERP on Google and check a footprint on the page that indicates you the proxy is working well.

Main problem will be the time for checking all of this and the quality of your proxy list (it is hard to multithread in PHP, so you will need Python too).
I used to test proxys with my own script but I recently bought the proxy checker from NIXMY that was far faster.

XD if you find a quality list for this, I will be interested in too.
