Does anyone else have a problem with....

trying to get ANY proxies to work in Atomic Email Sender? I've tried several services with private, shared, and free SOCKS proxies and they all show dead. Do they HAVE TO HAVE a log-in and password to work in that program? Please ....need advice or past experiences..
