Everything I've been looking at has zero competition. I got all giddy for a second, but surely it is a ploy for me to start chucking the $$$$ into PPC?
Bad move Bingle. I'm not falling for it, although I'm still going to try those niches, just with minimal investment.

It's an absolutel pile of shit. My reasons:
1 - Sometimes I search for a keyword and use the 'exact' option and option to only return results with my keyword in. I search for very generic keywords and it tells me it's found no results, wtf?
2 - If i don't tick the option to only show results with my keyword in it brings back all kinds of god awful results that have very little to do with my keyword.
3 - The competition estimator is useless and way off. I found some long tails the other day that apparently have 0 competition and therefore had 4p clicks available on adwords. So I far up adwords and load the keyword in only to discover that there IS competition and to get to position #1 it's going to cost me aroun 30p a click.
Bring back the old interface please, for the love of god Google!

Just spent the last month building my site and writing up unique content for it, only to hit number 1 at the weekend. I just checked GTool again and there's 110 exact searches for my keyword and <10 for no2 kw.
F**king annoyed, last month those figures were 6 and 8,000 exact monthly (USA) searches.

I agree with Red Mango. Did the same thing and then the numbers change dramatically. WTF!!! Gee, glad to waste all that time. New tool sucks the pipe.
