It depends on what technology you will be using for the website. If you want to use WP, I think 1 GB RAM and 1 vCPU are enough to run a WP site smoothly. About the price, I think it will come to around $8 or so for such an instance.
I think AWS has a vCPU limit on the credit accounts, so you cannot create unlimited ec2 instances. Keep that in mind before purchasing an account. You will have to manually email them to request an increase in the vCPU limit.

Not a good idea to put all your pbn websites there.
I prefer using different shared hosts and cloud hosts like Vultr, DO, Linode etc.
Goal is to spread the network across different providers for less footprints.
For me average cost of maintenance is around $40-$50 per year per pbn website.
Cost includes domain renewal + Hosting + Content.
The tough task is managing the network as the number of websites increases in the network.
