I think a lot of people are going through depression nowadays, and it's rarely our fault.
I have been depressed for 12 years (2002 to 2014), with the worst period being the last 2 years or so, I have had numerous emotional breakdowns (as a DUDE lol), and I've also had numerous period of unconsciousness and of starring at the ceiling for hours (literally 4-5 hours straight or more) in which state I would not feel cold, I would not feel hunger, I would not feel stress, pain, or anything. Just a vegetable staring at the ceiling and being unable to recognize my parents for a few seconds... few good seconds actually now that I think about it, I think at some point it took me 30-40 seconds to get back to consciousness and recognize the surrounding and my state...
And let me tell you, if you manage to understand depression (a deep state of the psyche), you can do a lot of cool things with it. I don't think I've fully gotten ridden of depression, but I don't mind it anymore because - many times - the more depressed you are, and the more positive / constructive suggestions you're telling to yourself while in that deep state of trance (because - sometimes - depression IS a trance), the more powerful those suggestions are and the bigger hold will take on your life when you get out of that state of depression.
Of course, this is also a double edged sword because - while depressed - all of your thoughts, feelings and plans are multiplying in power like crazy, so you gotta be careful to think only positive and constructive thoughts about EVERYONE or else you are almost guaranteed to harm yourself, your loved one, or completely innocent strangers.
For example, if you tell to yourself (while your are in a deep state of depression): "nah, I'm fed up with this, to Hell with everyone, I don't even care anymore what happens to them, they can all die for all I care".... well, if you tell this to yourself (especially if you put passion and real hate into this thought) and then you get out of this trance you will start acting - unconsciously, of course - in a really destructive way and you will start harming or killing everyone left and right without judgement or even against your own will because the powers of the subconscious are WAY bigger than the powers of the conscious, and - while telling negative and / or destructive things to yourself when in deep trance / depression - you were actually communicating with your subconscious, and the sooner you get out of trance and go back to reality (consciousness), the subconscious starts putting what you've told it, into action and that's where the real trouble begins. And if you're unaware of this, you, your loves ones, and even innocent people that you come into contact with are royally fucked.
That's why - when you're heavily depressed - it's best to remember that depression is just one of the many states of our psyche that we are not aware of (because we don't experience it often enough to get used to it), and once you're aware of this state that you're in, you can proceed to go out of it if you want, or continue to stay immersed into it so you can fix your stuff.
For example, if you feel deeply depressed and saddened but you wish to get out of this permanently, you could tell to yourself while you're in this deep, and deeply annoying state, something like this: "yeah, this is what being depressed feels like, now I know and I won't let this happen to me ever again. Ok, now I'm permanently out of this state, and I'll never return back here unless I need to fix really important stuff about my life, personality, etc"
Repeat this sentence to yourself slowly, imperceptibly, monotonously several times until you either get out of trance and feel like doing something in real life, or (most likely) until you fall asleep. I'd say, most of the time you will fall sleep rather than feel energized and eager to come back to life, but that's because this is how I experience it most of the time. Others might experience it differently, but both scenarios will be fine, none of them is dangerous as long as you...
1) are aware of your situation
2) are in control of it (mentally)
3) are not programming your mind with negative / destructive thoughts
As long as you abide by these rules you will either fall asleep or get immediately thrown out of trance (depression) by your psyche and will be able to approach life with new energy, vitality and eagerness to do something positive.
Also, while you're in trance / depression and you keep repeating positive affirmations to yourself, do NOT try to fall asleep. If you try to fall asleep you might not be able to program yourself properly, just repeat those positive affirmations / suggestions (or mantras if that's what you want to call them) until you fall asleep naturally, and then - when you wake up - unless you've done something really stupid and royally fucked yourself up, you should see / experience positive results over the coming hours / days / weeks / however long it takes you to see those results.
If you don't believe that these things are true and that we - humans - are truly our own Gods, you can do the following test: while in trance, or highly depressed, acknowledge the fact that you are aware that you're depressed, then tell to yourself with conviction that you're aware of your state and that you can get out of it whenever you want, and then - after you've acknowledged these - lie down in bed, in complete quietness and undistracted by anything (turn off your phone for extra quiet and peace), and start repeating this: "for the next 3 hours I am back to normal again, I don't feel any depression or sadness anymore, but after 3 hours am depressed again and back to this state again, but I am always in full control and fully aware of my state, and I'll be able to get out whenever I want"
A bit hard to remember this phrase initially, so you might want to write it down and read it off a piece of paper... or, if know what you're doing and you know that you're in full control, you can formulate a different sentence / phrase / paragraph that you feel will work better for you. Truth being told, every human being operates with different values and notions, so what might work for me might not work for you, so construct a sentence that you feel will work best for you. Just be careful not to get stuck into depression for all eternity, this is also possible.
Your psyche is a computer (the most powerful computer ever created), so it usually works with programs you input into it... the subconscious and the unconscious are especially "input-output" type of computers, and if you forget, or fail to tell them EXACTLY what to do, they might fuck you up.
So, be sure to give SPECIFIC and EXACT instructions to your subconscious, otherwise - when you get out of trance - you might be kept in a loop, not able to figure out what's wrong or how to get out if you've not been told these things. Your psyche will do exactly what you tell it to do, but the efficiency of the results will depend on 2 things:
- how deep in trance you are (which is why being highly depressed can be such a blessing if you know what is going on)
- how in control you are over the programming of your subconscious mind
EDIT: also VERY IMPORTANT (and sorry that I forgot to mention this): whenever you're in trance, no matter how deep or shallow the trance is,
always,
always, ALWAYS keep telling to yourself: "I never stop breathing", or "I continue breathing easily and effortlessly all the time", etc... Include breathing into your programming, or else... well, you can figure out what will happen if you stop breathing
So, make it a habit (I am dead serious) to include breathing after every few sentences / affirmations that you tell to yourself, otherwise - when you get out of trance - you will feel like you're asphyxiating or something, which can obviously kill you. So, make sure you don't forget to include the breathing into your programming!
Really sorry that I almost forgot to mention this
