Does anybody have any experience selling used dvds on ebay?

I just found a supplier for used dvds, pretty much any dvd I could want (maybe not all of the brand new releases, but still some) for 1.50 a dvd. I'm wondering how easy it would be to sell these on ebay for a profit. I figure it would be a .50-$1 profit per dvd. However could go for a huge volume.

Does anybody have any experience selling used dvds on ebay? I'm wondering if it would be worth my time.

The only used DVDs I have sold online (ebay) were ones that I received as a Xmas present and were practically brand new and hardly used, or still in the original wrapping. I sold them all pretty quick, they were popular titles, and I always had the buyer pay for shipping. Look into what it would cost you to ship and find the cheapest way to do it. That will eat up most of your profits. Poly bubble mailers are pretty cheap if you buy them in bulk. With the label you can ship stuff within the US in these mailers for about $1.20, and that will include tracking. You will need to provide tracking with every shipment. Always ship the cheapest way possible and if you offer expedited, make sure you charge for it. I made about $4 a DVD. Use a profit calculator like salescalc dot com to figure out your profits from there. Hope this helps, good luck.
 
Never sold DVD's but sold few product keys on ebay and made good profit through that method , if you need some help then hit me up on skype ... Can help you :)
 
Hi better you try out and know it. Just hire some VA send them list of DVD names and asked them to prepare Title, description, keyword, movie still. you just upload it. since you have lot of dvd, you may see handful of dvd sell daily.
 
Just search ebay for some of the titles. Check completed listings, and get an idea of how much people pay for used dvds (including postage) and how often they sell. Then you will know how much you can make and easy they are to sell. Knock off bay fees, paypal fees to get your profit.

Now work out how many you woould have to sell to make it worth your time and ten decide if that is viable.

Personally I think you would have to sell huge volume to make it worth it, but obviously thats up to you

not sure what you mean by product keys, and I'm not sure if its a completely "legit" thing? I wouldn't be using stealth or anything so only looking for white hat things

I think can only make $1-2/dvd on avg. However cheap so don't have to put a ton in up front and pretty easy to package, organize, mail. Might grab 10 or so for a mini trial. Movies I wouldn't mind owning in case they don't sell too well. Can't hurt to see how it goes before getting a bunch.
 
if this helps sell them as wholesale and add variations gather up allot of dvds and take quality pictures of everything charge them $2.00 for the shipping, i sold one today profit was about 3 bucks
 
I have been selling used DVDs on ebay for about 6 months now. I do pretty good. You will make more profit on some DVDs than other. You really can't start with the mindset that you will sell all DVDs for $1-$2 profit. Some DVDs you will lose profit on just to move them while others you may make a $10 or more profit. It's really a balancing out for profit. The total profit amount of each dvd lot is what I look at. Paying $1.50 per dvd is too high unless it's some really great titles that sell. I personally won't pay more than about a $1 per dvd. If you can buy disney DVDs you will make better profits. As you know people pay great for disney DVDs. I wouldn't pay more than $2 per dvd on disney so that you will make good profit. The key is to research titles of the dvd lot before buying to see what kind of profit you are looking. Hope this helps! Hint: buy used DVDs lots from ebay and resell!
 
If you intend to sell a bunch of DVDs, I would go with the Bonavendi's bulk comparison engine, no question. Hope I was helpful!
