I think he's asking about end users, not spammers lol.I use tumblr for my web2.0 properties.
My tumblrs actually rank on bing.
But I use expired tumblrs, they are hard to find but do a decent job.
Tumblr is just a platform. If you manage to rank and drive traffic to your tumblr then surely you can monetise it.Are you still able to monetize utiliziing Tumblr or would you say using Tumblr for anything other than driving new traffic is a thing of the past?
yes but its not as popular as it was 5+ years ago.Is this even a notable site anymore? Who uses it?
I dont think that anybody using tumblr anymore... It was really popular for one time but it lost its power. Of course there would be some people to use it but its not like the other social media platforms. Is this even a notable site anymore? Who uses it?
What sort of niches? It's not as popping as it used to be but honestly that's fine. With less popularity the userbase is far more concentrated into passionate users for various niches.
So if you look at Tumblr as a place to spam low effort posts to drive traffic, don't bother. If you look at Tumblr for specific niches with passionate users give it a shot.
