Does any one know about Instagram DMs marketing?

We are going to promote a brand through social media and we found some strategies. Influncer marketing is one of them, but I was wondering if I could use DMs to promote a brand. Is there any one who have seen these things? or any ideas or experiences? Thank you in advance!

I tried selling Clickbank products through direct messages whenever somebody started following me. It didn't work well at all.

I think you need a lot more reach than what DM's can give you if you intend to sell directly to consumers.

But they can be great for reaching out to influencers.

Speaking from a technical point, you have a better chance doing e mail marketing using a service that send directly to inbox and having good fresh list of emails scraped from Instagram or any other place than sending Instagram Dms which will directly go to the spam folder 100%. You can though send your Dm text as a story question answer and mass automate it, true it's a little spammy but the users will see their story answers 100%.

I tried it with print on demand products but no luck. Before I scrape niche accounts by strong hashtags and send DM with huge discount. I get about 10-20 clicks from 300-500 dms.

Direct selling through DMs wont work bc you cant just spam followers- hey buy my shit heres the link ... . I agree, DMS are best used to reach influencers but if you do want to use dm for followers, I would use it to ask for feedback and build REAL RELATIONSHIPS. Like instead of msg hey go to this website buy my shit instead be like Hey thanks for the follow. What kind of content do you want me to post more? Or another way to reach followers via DM is to actually send an audio message and be like - "Hey thanks for the follow. We are building a community around xyz, thanks for the support just wanted to reach out and say hi ". These type of messages will result in more responses/relationships in which you can then cultivate to later turn into sales and profit from.

what tool did you use to DM new followers??

I honestly don't remember, but it was a web-based tool if that helps. Used in the browser.

I think they had a free trial.
